Adam Morgan | Avoid at all costs! I hate leaving this, but I have no choice. Shoddy workmanship. Empty promises. My money was taken and I was told issues would be taken care of. They were not. This is a BAD BAD BAD operation. |
shafedog247 . | NEGATIVE STARS!! Shady, unprofessional, unprepared. That sums up my experience with a small drywall job they “completed” for me. After a basement flood I took bids for drywall replacement and painting. I went with Trublue because I've seen their trucks in Mason and thought that since I've seen so many that they must be doing really good work. Well what a complete cluster. They promptly came out and bid the job. I accepted the bid and waited....and waited for a response until I finally reached back out to them only to be told that they never received the job acceptance email, which I then sent a copy of the email where they thanked me for accepting the bid. That should have been the first clue of what was to unfold. After a few weeks and a few reschedules, they finally came out. The project was a 6'8” x 34” section of drywall and a small section on the opposite side of the wall to just be rough finished since it's a storage room. Should have been one piece of drywall, one horizontal seam in the large piece...easy work for a handyman company. By the way, the only reason I wasn't doing this job myself is because insurance was paying for the work. So the kid shows up with drywall and mud....no seam tape. Someone else finally came with the seam tape. For whatever this kid made multiple pieces and unnecessary vertical seams and completely misaligned the edges since he missed the stud so one section was sticking out further than another. The solution....26 pounds of mud and wait a few days to dry. He came back barely sanded, no skim coat and he proceeded to roll paint so heavily that there were drips everywhere on the wall. This would not do so I made them come back and try again. Instead of starting over they just cut away the uneven section made additional vertical seams and mud. I will say at this point the uneven section was passable, but the corners of the wall were a mess. Another guy came out did some patching some sanding I guess to try and make it better. He ended up peeling off a section of patch and said he call to come back out and I've never heard from him again which has prompted me to express my dissatisfaction via a voicemail and this post. This should have been a 3-4 day job since it requires multiple steps and drying time in between them. It's been nearly a 2 month process...it's pathetic. They never covered any furniture, or put down plastic or drop clothes. Drywall is always a messy job. Now I'll have to find a good house cleaner to knock down all the dust that has accumulated. Just an absolute awful experience. I advise staying away if you need home repairs. |
