House Cleaning Services by Beyond the Basics in East Peoria, Illinois

The owner of this business, Debbie, is very unprofessional. I called her to ask why the ladies had not been here for a scheduled visit to clean my home, and she replied "you're out" stating that we cancelled on her for a prior visit in too short notice, so we are no longer on her service. We had been with this cleaning service for over 2 years and we never cancelled, we never asked to reschedule, and we always paid on time. I did indeed call to cancel our visit in the month prior, but never got a return call from Debbie. I attempted to rectify the situation with Debbie explaining that I had no problem paying the girls for time they may have missed because the girls are wonderful and stating that she could have called me back to let me know she was cancelling our contract. This was not the first time I have called her and didn't get a call back at all or did not get a timely call back. She consistently tried to interrupt me, talk over me, and raise her voice. She got frustrated and hung up on me. We try to support small and local business, but Debbie's lack of professionalism and her overall terrible attitude are unacceptable. We stayed with Beyond The Basics because the women who came to our home were great and kind and hardworking, but if Debbie continues treating her customers this way, I can't imagine she will be in business much longer. If you can choose a different company-do it. I wouldn't bother with the headache of dealing with Beyond the Basics. There are plenty of other cleaning services in the Peoria area that you can choose that have better customer service.
