House Cleaning Services by Mascoutah Alterations and Dry Cleaning in Mascoutah, Illinois

Took a uniform in to get four pockets sewn down and uniformed dry cleaned. A week later when I picked up the uniform she said it was 35. WHAT!!!!? This was the first and last time I will use them!!! I should've just stayed taking my uniforms to Magic Stitch down the road from the base. Got my last uniform pockets sewn down at that place for 7 and drove to Scott Cleaners to have my uniform dry cleaned for 8. Mascoutah Alterations is way too expensive in my opinion!!!!

My wife heard by word of mouth that this alteration shop was good and decided to drop off a 400 dress to be altered/hemmed for the AF ball. It was short noticed i.e. drop off on Tuesday and pick up Friday. Well she just picked it up today and was very disheartened. My wife chose the dress because it had a beautiful train behind it and when she pick it up, half the train was cut off. My wife was nice enough not to say anything to the tailor but when I spoke with her later, she was nearly in tears. I called the shop and the owner said that she was told to make the dress even on the bottom. However, my wife claims she told the seamstress to keep the train. So, do to a miscommunication, we now have a 400 dress that my wife dislikes and she is now looking for another dress the day of the ball. While the workmanship appears to be good, I'm very disappointed in the results. I'm sorry but why would you hack off a beautiful train when obviously that's part of the appeal of the dress. Needless to say, this is the first and last time we will be using this shop.

Alterations here are great. Been coming here for years with all types of clothing
