House Cleaning Services by Ravinia Maid Service in Skokie, Illinois

Awful service! AVOID THIS COMPANY! hired this cleaning service on 4 separate occasions and I ended up cleaning myself after they left every time. The cleaners are very lazy...constantly on their phones chatting and texting. The final straw for me was when i found the cleaner sitting on my sofa with her jacket on, watching videos on her phone, ready to go 45 minutes before she was scheduled to leave...and the house wasn't even cleaned properly...still so much dust, cabinets and mirrors not even wiped down...absolutely terrible service. The cleaner also used a very abrasive product on my wood floors after I had explained which cleaning solution to use on my floors. I reminded her again and she just continued on using the abrasive cleaner! She left several very deep scratches on the floors and has damaged the finish. I also asked her to do a few specific things wipe down the exterior kitchen cabinets, dust the blinds, etc and she ignored the requests...didn't even do one thing I had asked. She also damaged a vintage Persian rug by spilling bleach on it! I called the owner to discuss this and she gave me nothing but excuses and bad attitude. There are also several things missing from our home. AVOID this company...they have many bad reviews on Yelp...and I definitely understand why!

My family and I hired Ravinia Maid Service 15 years ago and never looked back. In that time, we have had several different individuals. Each have been respectful, helpful and had their own style of cleaning. One result was always the same, the quality of service provided.

I will give it zero stars!! I hope the owner reads this and take this as constructive criticism. The cleaning lady they sent was very nice but did not know how to clean. I'm still trying to figure out what she did for 6 hours. A driver drops the cleaning lady at the front door and says her name and walks away. She comes into the house for the first time and I'm trying to explain what needs to be done and she looks at me and says "no English". Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish so I call my wife and she said that she was told to call the Ravinia Maids office and they will translate for me. I call them and I hear a clicking keyboard in the background and I ask the gentleman if he is using Google translator and he says yes!! I couldn't believe it. He started translating via Google and the cleaning lady asked him questions in Spanish and he had no idea why she was saying. What a train wreck!! I decided to call my son in Miami who speaks Spanish and he was able to translate for me. Besides the standard cleaning I asked her to do a few extra things like sweep and mop the utility room which is about 6x6. When I got home I couldn't believe how dirty the house was. Not only was the utility room not swept and mopped there were were a whole list of things that were not done. This list includes vacuuming the rug in the office, dusting, cleaning crumbs out of the oven, clean the handles on the refrigerator to name a few. The list goes on and on. The house did not smell clean and fresh when I got home. It smelled stale and dirty. The one thing that did get cleaned off the counter was the money I left for services not rendered. I would not recommend this company.
