House Cleaning Services by Elite Seamless Gutters in Spring Valley, Illinois

Based on excellent Angie's List reviews, on May 3, 2019, I contacted Elite Seamless Gutters for a gutter repair. After speaking with John French for a few minutes he asked if he could call me back as he wanted to look at my house with his "program". He called back to say that my gutters were too small and that I needed 6" gutters I stated that my gutters had been functioning well for 20 years and I just needed a repair. He continued to pitch 6" gutters with gutter guards. Since my trees had grown and the 20 year old gutters were looking a little dingy, I agreed to replace my gutters. He asked to call back with a quote which he did at 7833.00. I asked if he wanted to come look at the house and he stated that he could see all he needed with his"program" and that he would do the job "next week". I took that to mean that there were a maximum of four work days for Elite before my job started. It was a rainy spring, but after more than 4 workable days had past, i called Elite the last week of May and got the answering machine where I left a message. Elite returned the call the next day and said "next week". They didn't show and didn't call. I called and was told "next week". Elite finally showed the morning of June 21 and his crew immediately was alarmed by the height of my house, the length of some runs, the placement of some downspouts, and a bay window, all of which had been discussed with John and he stated that he could see with his"program". John called my wife and said we needed heavier material, special miters for the bay window etc. for 2200.00 more. I called John from work and expressed my dismay. He offered to leave the job. In retrospect I should have accepted; instead I agreed to the additional requirements for 1800.00. John's crew was a joy to work with and the job they did looks good. During the first big rain, I noticed that one of the gutters overflowed and another had a small leak. 16 weeks ago today which is 11/28/19, I called John to ask for a service call. I have spoken to him 3 or 4 times in the intervening 16 weeks and been told the"next week or two" each time. They have NEVER come back. I'm a good hour and half drive from Elite, that could be part of the problem. If it is they should never have taken the job. Bottom line. John is a fast talking salesman who doesn't seem to me to service what he sells. I will hire a different firm to service Elite's work.

I recently had new 6' seamless gutters installed on my house , the quality of work was excellent price was more than fair, have used them for other projects in the past , painting interior ,exterior and two other gutter projects I highly recommend this company for all your interior , exterior painting concrete, gutters,soffit and fascia they do it all .And do it right!
